During a panel discussion at SDWest one of the presenters (Josh Kerievsky) mentioned ProjectCards as the PM tool he uses for Agile projects that were being done with non-co-located teams. Benefits they cited were:
- Desktop app: no cludgey web based interface. nice performance and interface
- Easy to manage backlog and sprints (drag/drop)
It looks like they have a two-developer version for free, but you have to pay for bigger teams. It’s $145/user for unlimited use (not per month fee like Mingle).
Everyone on the panel (Mike Cohn, Josh Kerievsky, and Paul Hodgetts) seemed in agreement that co-located teams should just use notecards, though.
