Best of Open Source Software 8/2008

The article by InfoWorld identifies their picks for best of open source in a variety of categories. It was part of the case we made for choosing Liferay Portal as an intranet solution and could be interesting when making other base technology choices.

Different categories will likely be interesting to different people. I’ve pulled out all the categories and product winners with their (sub-category) in parentheses. That’s to save you having to click through a slideshow for each category. Can’t believe they didn’t just list it somewhere easy.
